Over a year ago I had the opportunity to visit Steve and Carol Thompson, Baptist missionaries, in Ecuador. Β I was able to witness first hand their amazing ministry and relationships they have built. Β Steve and Carol have been in Ecuador for over 25 years and have started several churches, a Christian Camp and are now on the verge of launching a Christian University in central Ecuador. During my two week trip I was able to use my camera to not only capture Β several amazing people and events but to also build relationships that I treasure to this day! A very unique opportunity that I was able to take part in was a wedding for Clever & Rosa in the mountain community of Apatug, Tungurahua. At nearly 10,000 feet above sea level this wedding was a mild workout for me to shoot, to say the least. π It was such a blessing to capture this loving couple on their wedding day. Β And I am so glad they didn’t mind my rusty spanish… π

A unique tradition for this community is to have two receptions on the wedding day. Β The first reception takes place at the bride’s house and the second reception is hosted by the groom’s family later in the evening for dinner.

I still cant believe that I was blessed with the opportunity to capture this special day for such a fun couple!
