Over a year ago I had the opportunity to visit Steve and Carol Thompson, Baptist missionaries, in Ecuador. I was able to witness first hand their amazing ministry and relationships they have built. Steve and Carol have been in Ecuador for over 25 years and have started several churches, a Christian Camp and are now on the verge of launching a Christian University in central Ecuador. During my two week trip I was able to use my camera to not only capture several amazing people and events but to also build relationships that I treasure to this day! A very unique opportunity that I was able to take part in was a wedding for Clever & Rosa in the mountain community of Apatug, Tungurahua. At nearly 10,000 feet above sea level this wedding was a mild workout for me to shoot, to say the least. 🙂 It was such a blessing to capture this loving couple on their wedding day. And I am so glad they didn’t mind my rusty spanish… 🙂

A unique tradition for this community is to have two receptions on the wedding day. The first reception takes place at the bride’s house and the second reception is hosted by the groom’s family later in the evening for dinner.
I still cant believe that I was blessed with the opportunity to capture this special day for such a fun couple!
