Memorial Day 2011 is where it all began for Sarah and Ben. Ben was invited by a mutual friend to a pool party and almost didn’t show up because of another party. Ben’s mother convinced him to stop by and see an old friend (they said they both owe her their thanks!) Sarah was already there with a group of people…of which she was the only girl. The only conversation Ben and Sarah had that day was when Ben directed Sarah to the location of the bathroom. Ben left to attend another pool party, and returned later, only to find Sarah and her brother gone. He asked the mutual friend about “that Ashley girl” and finally found out Sarah’s real name…and that she was simply with a group of friends and her brother!
The next night, the same group plus some others were heading out for some Trivia in Broadripple, and the mutual friend invited Ben. Ben stopped by (after inquiring who would be attending and turning around to come back to Broadripple after arriving home yet hearing Sarah would be at Trivia), and “accidentally” ended up across from Sarah, playing on the same team and talking and joking with one another the whole night. Ben gave Sarah a ride to her car at the end of the night as a gentlemanly gesture, which Sarah fully appreciated as she got to spend a little more time with the interesting new guy ;). The two met on Scotty’s patio to get to know one another a few nights later, had dinner together a couple nights after that, and have spent the better part of every week together since then!
Sarah and Ben fell in love during Sarah’s first semester of law school and have enjoyed many things together, including travelling with just one another, with friends, and with both families. We love spending time with our families and close friends and are looking forward to having everyone at the celebration of our marriage in the fall.
We had such a great time with them both at the shoot and enjoyed getting to know them better! Can’t wait to share in their wedding day with them this fall and watch them start their life together!
