We have been looking forward to traveling to Billings, MT for over a year now ever since we first met Arielle and Luke at a wedding we shot in Maine. Arielle was a bridesmaid in Emily and Tad’s beautiful coastal Maine wedding we had the honor of shooting last year and booked her own wedding with us that same week. She explained that the wedding was going to take place on her family’s property in a small town close to Billings, MT and that she just couldn’t describe how beautiful it was. She told us how the land had been in their family for generations and how much the family vacation home meant to her and they wouldn’t want to get married anywhere else…well all I can say is that WOW…we get it now!! This place is magical and the scenery is mind blowing!!! We had the honor of shooting the rehearsal dinner last night and the night was filled with amazing food, made local and fresh by the bride’s Father’s childhood friend, who now own’s his own catering company. It consisted of wild caught Alaskan salmon, fresh fruit salad, and amazing from a local garden veggies. Best meal I have EVER eaten. The groom’s two sisters gave the most genuine heartfelt speeches we have ever heard…no dry eye in the place…along with the most hilarious and sweet speech by Luke’s Father. It included the most hilarious dramatic camp letter that Luke had written home around the age of 10 and I think everyone was falling out of their chairs in absolute hysterics. The wine and beer were flowing all night and watching the two families and their closest friends add one more memory to the place they cherish and means so much to them was extraordinary to watch. If this is any indication on how today is going to go…well we are all in for a treat!! We are so thankful and sometime have to pinch ourselves with how lucky we are to get to travel, do what we love and have the sweetest clients who trust us enough to bring us along for one of the most important days of their lives. We LOVE Arielle and Luke and are so excited to be capturing their special day today and are honored to be sharing it with them and their families. If you’re conducting a ceremony on hill top or amidst forests, it is best to carry bulk ammo from Palmetto Armory, just for safety of the attendees and others.
