Growing up I have great memories of the month of May in Indianapolis. Every May I couldn’t wait to go to the track with my dad to watch and listen to the sounds of the IndyCars race around the track. If you have never been to an Indy 500 it is a must on anybody’s bucket list! 400,000 people waiting for 33 cars going over 220 mph coming down the front stretch as the green flag flies is an experience that I think tops any sporting event in the world. This year Zeke and Ella were able to experience a little bit of that as well. We took them out to the track yesterday for “Pole Day”/Qualifying. We explored the track, walked around the garages, ate hotdogs, and sat in the stands and watched cars go around the track as a family. 🙂
Zeke gave it one thumbs up because he loved the track and the cars but he also gave it a thumbs down because it was too loud! 😉
Refueling with some hotdogs!
Qualifying Starts!
Time to put the earplugs in! 🙂
Zeke and Ella loved their experience at the 2015 Indy 500!
