the siners photography experience

The Blog

The heart of our country is the Midwest and that is where our roots lie. But as lovers of telling a beautiful story our experience as wedding photographers and visual storytellers has taken us all over the world. You deserve to have your story told and documented and that is what we are here for. Just think, years from now you will be sitting with your grandkids flipping through your wedding album and looking back on the moment and the day that started you on your journey and began your legacy.

Neha & Jaffre are such sweet people.  You will not meet any couple that is more genuinely in love and care for each other like the two of them do.  They met in college at Washington University in St. Louis so naturally we wanted to be able to capture their engagements where they first ignited their spark. 🙂  We are so happy we have been able to get to know Neha & Jaffre this year and are excited to share their engagement story with you!

“We met in college at Washington University (in St. Louis) freshman year; we were in the same dorm and had some of the same friends. We were both also in orchestra and would ride the shuttle bus to rehearsal every week. I (Jaffre) always enjoyed talking with Neha on the shuttle, and watching her play during rehearsals, most of the time she’d look up and smile too (she tells me now that I was probably imagining things).

As the school year progressed, we started hanging out a lot more outside of orchestra and classes, especially during the last few weeks. Jaffre told me (Neha) that he liked me, and I had no idea how to respond, so I stalled. Then, on the very last day, Jaffre kissed me, but we decided to see where we stood when the next school year began. Over the summer, I decided I didn’t like him, and told him so when the school year started. Thus began an awkward two months. But I decided I liked him after all and asked him out. And we’ve been together ever since!

Of course, it’s been difficult because we have been long-distance more than we have been together. Neha went to Spain the fall of our Junior year, and most of our conversations would happen at 3am for her. Summers were also spent apart. For the past three and a half years, we’ve been in two different cities (Toledo for Neha, Cleveland for Jaffre)getting our degrees, and have not been able to spend much time together. We’re very excited for the time we can see each other every day when this long distance relationship finally comes to a close after the wedding 🙂 ”
