We were so honored to be apart of Alissa and Michael’s Spring wedding a couple weeks ago. It was filled with so much anticipation, emotion and genuine deep rooted love. It all started with the emotional exchange of letters between Bride and Groom, then the heartfelt first look between Dad and daughter, to a beautiful exchange of vows and the lighting of their unity candle with both of them and their daughter Harper. As if that wasn’t emotional enough…there was the intimate first dance as husband and wife and finished off with a touching dance between Father and Daughter to “Butterfly Kisses” pre-recorded by Dad himself. When I first met Alissa, I felt like I was meeting a celebrity of sorts! ha But seriously she is pretty much an online celeb via her blog http://www.batblifestyle.com/. She has a huge following where she writes about being a full time mother, writer, crafter, It Works! Distributor, designer…clearly the woman wears many hats! 🙂 Her blog documents her life and those around her and it doesn’t take much browsing to fall in love with her and her beautiful daughter Harper. She has one of those personalities that you are just drawn to…super sweet and so warm! Michael and Alissa booked with us only a few months before their beautiful Spring wedding and so we weren’t able to get to know them as in depth as we usually do… that didn’t change things at all for us! They were so easy to get along with and we felt like we connected instantly. Michael and Nathan even found they had the same odd (if you ask me and Alissa) interest of #hashtagging# outloud…weirdos. This couple has been together since college and have done an amazing job of raising their beautiful daughter together and it was so precious to watch as their family of three became complete as they committed in front of family and friends to honor and love each other for the rest of their lives. We absolutely love this couple and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
