the siners photography experience

The Blog

The heart of our country is the Midwest and that is where our roots lie. But as lovers of telling a beautiful story our experience as wedding photographers and visual storytellers has taken us all over the world. You deserve to have your story told and documented and that is what we are here for. Just think, years from now you will be sitting with your grandkids flipping through your wedding album and looking back on the moment and the day that started you on your journey and began your legacy.

Sara & Gustavo are two fun loving individuals! With an outdoor wedding and outdoor reception for your wedding the last thing you want to see the night before your wedding is a 75% chance of rain.  Facing rain and thunderstorms on their wedding day Sara & Gustavo were not concerned. They were so calm and relaxed the entire day, even 45 minutes until the wedding was set to begin, as the rain poured down, they both were still laughing and having  a great time with friends and family.  10 minutes before the wedding was about to begin the rain stopped and the sky opened up to a gorgeous sun shining through.  Their day went off without a hitch.  There are not many bride and grooms that would have been as calm and collected as these two were and handled this wedding day situation with as much grace and happiness as these two amazing people did!

Before we get to the pictures here is Sara & Gustavo’s love story, as told by Sara:

Gustavo and I first met each other in January 2012 at the Spartan Super Race in Southern California. My friends and I drove down the night before and a friend of mine knew Gustavo and he picked us up to go to the race at 5am. We ran the race and didn’t see eachother after. He messaged me on Facebook a few weeks after but nothing came of the conversation.

In April 2012, we both happened to randomly be at another race together in SoCal. Gustavo ended up running the race next to me with another friend. After we finished, Gustavo was telling me about an overnight hike coming up. I was interested to find out more so we started talking.  So we had our first date at Home Depot buying buckets, sandbags, and axes to prepare the overnight 15 mile hike/challenge.

After that we continued to hang out but I had a hard time to tell if he liked me or if we were just friends. So about a month into hanging out I just straight up asked him if he liked me or not and he said yes so I told him to kiss me already! 🙂 And he did.

And the rest, as they say, is history!
